Our guide and chauffeur will meet You at Your hotel at Your requested time, and embark on Your Emperor's Tour. You will first arrive at Tian'anmen Square, the largest such city squre in the world. Its plentitude of commemorative monuments testify to the communist, and more specifically, Mao's influence on China's modern history. From there You will proceed to the Forbidden City, constructed during the reign of Emperor Yong Le in the Ming dynasty. It has been the seat of power of the Chinese empire for eight centuries outlasting both the Ming and Qing. The Forbidden City is also known as the Imperial Palace Museum with many national-treasure level artifacts - many of which have never been outside of China - on display.
After a relaxing meal dining on local delicacies, it's on to the Temple of Heaven. The Temple of Heaven is China's largest temple and altar complex, an extraordinary example of religious architecture dating back to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Here You will have the chance to "interact" with many of its architectural wonders in person (try the Resounding Wall with Your guide). Your final stop is the retreat of emperors for 800 years, the Summer Palace. In this park, you will explore the grounds, the temples and the world's longest art gallery, all the while enjoying the informative and lively story-telling of our experienced guide. You will have the choice to indulge in an unparalleled shopping experience at the Pearl Market (Optional). At the end of the tour, You will be chauffeured back to Your hotel.
